Step into the Past
As you walk toward Waterworks and the Garden, you notice a big old green car. It is the entrance to Step into the Past. Here Discovery Youth dresses up in antique and old-fashioned clothing. They also "wash" clothes, grind wood, and make button spinners like they did in the old west.

We joined volunteers from around the bay area to help decorate and setup Christmas in the Park at Plaza de Cesar Chavez. We helped cleaned some of the booths and then got to decorate our own Christmas display. We were very lucky to have the opportunity to decorate one of the newest displays which was the wishing well.

We joined volunteers from around the city of San Jose to help clean up the trash around the community. We were able to clean up about a quarter mile of the Guadalupe River thats located next to the Children's Discovery Museum. We collected 18 bags of trash and other wierd things like a shopping cart and some bikes. We also got the opportunity to pickup litter with the Mayor of San Jose.
